MAYFLOWER, Ark. - Zane L. Strickland, 70, of Mayflower, Ark., a longtime former resident of Newton, died Wednesday, Jan. 19, at his home.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at Rollex-Mc Nutt Funeral Home in Conway, Ark.
Burial will be in Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Conway.
Survivors are his wife, Lois; a son Rick of Baxter; three stepdaughters, Carol Hackney of Adel and Brenda Dammann and Wanda Lammey, both of Newton; 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
A veteran of World War II, Mr. Strickland was a member of the Newton Masonic Lodge and a former member of the Newton Veterans of Foreign Wars Post, the Maytag Management Club, the Red Men Lodge and the Emerson Hough chapter of the Izaak Walton League.
Mr. and Mrs. Strickland moved from Newton to Arkansas in 1987 after his retirement from the Maytag company.
