Arnold T. Stoelk

Arnold T. "Arnie" Stoelk, 84, of 1200 W. 6th st. S., died today, March 31, at Nelson Manor.

Memorial services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Wert's Funeral Home in Davenport.

Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery.

Memorials to the American lung Association or Progress Industries may be left at Wallace-Pence Funeral Home.

Survivors are a step-daughter, Jean (Mrs. Eugene) Bridenstine of Newton; five-step grandchildren; 97 great-grandchildren.

Also surviving are two brothers, Hilbert of Wilton and Paul of Davenport; and two sisters, Johanna Lutje of Wilton and Edna Stratton of West Liberty.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Alice; a brother and a sister.

Mr. Stoelk, a member of the Central Turner Hall in Davenport, was a farmer and carpenter in Wilton and later managed Central Turner Hall in Davenport.

He was born November 17, 1909 in Wilton.

He was married to Alice Kuehl June 17, 1955 in Davenport. ~ The Newton (IA) Daily News, March 1994
