DES MOINES - Linda "Mickie" Short, 53, 3837 E. 25th St., Des Moines, a native of Newton, Memorial died of cancer Monday, March 28, at the Iowa Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Hamilton's Funeral Home, 606 E. Lyon, Des Moines.

Memorials to the American Cancer Society may be left at the funeral home.

Cremation will be held.

Among survivors are her husband, Robert; her mother, Olive Finn, a brother, Robert Finn of Newton; two nieces; and a nephew.

A resident of Des Moines since 1959, Mrs. Short was a teacher's associate at Mc Combs Middle School and had previously worked at the Meredith Corp. in Des Moines.
