Christopher Trotter, 20, of Newton died Wednesday of injuries suffered in an auto accident near Searsboro. Services will be at 1 p.m. today at Wallace-Pence Funeral Home, with cremation following.

Mr. Trotter was born in Newton and returned in 1992 after 10 years in Kellogg. He worked at Capri Theatre in Ottumwa and was a student resident assistant at Indian Hills Community College in Ottumwa.

Surviving are his parents, Mike and Jacquline Trotter of Newton; two sisters, Tamra Marshall of Monroe and Michelle Trotter of Newton; his grandparents, George and Gertrude Trotter, Lucile Rouze and Jerry and Joan Rouze all of Newton.

Christopher Trotter

Christopher "Chris" Trotter, 20, of 403 E. 21st St. S., a resident of Newton since 1992, died Wednesday, Dec. 7, in an automobile-semitrailer truck accident near Searsboro.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Wallace-Pence Funeral Home.

The Rev. William Calhoun, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church, will conduct services.

Cremation will folllow services.

Friends may call at the funeral home after noon Friday and visitation with the family will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Memorials in his name will be accepted.

Survivors are his parents, Monty "Mike" and jacqueline Rouze Trotter of newton; two sisters, Tamra (Mrs. Mike) Marshall of Monroe and Michelle Marie Trotter of Newton; his patrnal grandparents, George and Gertrude Trotter of Newton; ahis maternal grandmother, Lucille rouze of Newton; his maternal grandparents, jerry and Joan Rouze of Newton; and his fiancee, Charlotte Bohnstengel of Clutier.

Mr. Trotter was employed at the Capri Theatre in Ottumwa and was a resident assistant for Indian Hills College in Ottumwa, assisting students in the transitional program.

He was born Dec. 20, 1973 in a Newton, was a 1992 graduate of Newton Community High School, a 1994 graduate of Indian Hills College in Ottumwa and, at the time of his death, was attending Buena Vista College of Storm Lake.

Mr. Trotter was a resident in Kellogg for 10 years before moving back to Newton ~ The Newton (IA) Daily News, December 1994.
