Helen A. Turner, 73, of Woodbury West Health Care Center, 1211 Vine St., West Des Moines, died of a heart attack Thursday at home. Services will be at 9 a.m. Saturday at Hamilton' s Funeral Home. Burial will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Turner, a lifelong Des Moines area resident, retired in 1986 after working at United Plating, New Monarch and Maytag Co.

She is survived by a daughter, Gwen German, and a son, Larry Burton, both of Des Moines; and six grandchildren.

Friends may call after noon today and until service time Saturday at Hamilton' s Funeral Home, where the family will greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today.~ The Newton (IA) Daily News, November 1990
