ELDORA - Mary Earles Bradley Nielsen, 76, of Eldora, a former longtime resident of Colfax, died Monday, Dec. 31, at her home.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Colfax First United Methodist Church.
The Rev. Michael Orthell, pastor of the church, will conduct services. Burial will be in Mc Keever Cemetery north of Colfax.
Visitation will be held from 3 to 9 p.m. today he at the Creps-Abels Funeral Home in Eldora with prayer service at 7 p.m.
Visitation will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the church in Colfax.
Survivors are her husband, Harry; a son, Bill Earles of Colfax; six daughters, Wilma Churchill of Newton, Pat Lewis and Brenda Jones, both of Colfax, Barbara Dhondt of Republic, Mo., Karen Kendall of Eldora and Sherrie Rutherford of Gilman; three step-sons, Stanley Nielsen of Mankato, Minn., and Clifford Nielsen of New Hampton.
Also surviving are a brother, Tommy Bradley and two sisters, Rosie Ralston and Alice Mansfield, all of Chillicothe, Mo..
Mrs. Nielsen was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Nova Earles in 1976, two brothers, Frank and Preston Bradley, and two sisters, Anna Bradley and Sara Hartsock.
Mrs. Nielsen was a member of Eldora First United Methodist Church.
The daughter of Samuel and Janie Humphrey Bradley, she was born January 29, 1914 in Rockport, Mo., and attended rural schools in the Rockport area.
She was married to Nova Earles August 9, 1933 and to Harry Nielsen in Colfax in 1978.
She resided in Callender until retiring and moving to Eldora in 1983. ~ Newton (IA) Daily News, December 1990
