Julia E. Eatwell, was born in Dain County, Wisconsin, December 26th, 1881, and died at her home in Mingo, Iowa, September 11th, 1925, aged 63 years, 8 months, and 15 days.At the age of seven years she came with her parents to Iowa, locating on a farm two miles east of Farrar.
On September 25, 1877, she was united in marriage to Joseph Gibson and to this union were born three children, the oldest dying in infancy. The others, Henry Bibson of Maxwell, Iowa and Ola Norton of Farrar. Her husband passed away March 6th 1889.
On February 1892 she was again united in marriage to Charles Long, who survives her. To this union were born three children Mrs. Gertrude Huntrod, of Collins, Mrs. Florence Davis of Farrar and one son Clarence Long of Farrar.
The deceased was converted at a very early age at what was known at that time as the No. 4 school house 3 miles northeast of Farrar, under the pastorate of Rev. Henry Rowenberger, the Methodist protestant church in this community was organized in this school house, later being merged into and becoming, as now known as the Farrar class. She was therefore been a devout and very devoted memeber of this church almost from the time of its organization.
Sister Long was a model wife and mother, a splendid neighbor, a sincere friend to all. She lived a consistant, conscientious christian life dying as she lived, in the christian faith and with the christian hope of a permanent home in the house of many mansions.
Besides the husband and children, who were all present at the time of her death, deceased leaves to mourn their loss, 11 grandchildren; two brothers, Cyrus Eatwell of Farrar and Albert of Eldora, Iowa, and two sisters, Mrs. James Dunlap of Farrar, and Mrs. Mary Downey, of Mitchellville, Iowa and many other relatives and her friends were all who knew her.

And thou art crowned at last."Funeral services were held at the Farrar church, Monday afternoon, Sept. 14th, conducted by Dr. C. J. Nutt, of Des Moines, pastor of the church, assisted by Rev. C. R. Green. Interment was made at Farrar cemetery.
