Fred was always willing to lend a helping hand to all activities which would lead to a better community. He was a kind and loving husband, father, and grandfather.
He leaves to mourn his passing his life's companion, Edna, and one son, Eldon and two daughters, Mrs. John (Eileen) Allan, Mingo and Mrs. Don (Colene) Shaffer, Maxwell. three granddaughters and two grandsons. Also three brothers, John of Collins, Louis of Ankeny, Walter of Maxwell and three sisters, Mrs Ed (Emma) Hay, of Farrar, Mrs. O. R. He always used to watch for us,
Anxious if we were late.
In winter by the window,
in summer by the gate. And tho' we mocked him tenderly,
Who had such loving care.
The long way home would seem more safe
Because he waited there. His thoughts were all so full of us,
He never could forget.
And so I think that where he is,
He must be waiting yet.Waiting till we come to him,
Anxious if we are late,
Looking from Heaven's window,
Leaning from Heaven's gate.`````````````````````````````````````````````````
