Wednesday, July 23, 1974Paul C. Koppin Dies Monday; Rites Thursday
Paul Carl Koppin, 73, of 803 1st Ave. E., a lifelong resident of Japer County, died Monday evening at the Skiff Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the First Assembly of God Church.
The Rev. William Hamilton, pastor of the church, will conduct the services. Burial will be in the Newton Memorial Park Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 9 a.m. Wednesday.
Survivors are his wife, Lily; two sons, Duane and David, both of Newton; three daughters; Mrs. Glory Gordon of Ames and Mrs. Leonard (Marlene) Simpson and Mrs. Ronald (Karen) Sloan, both of Newton; 11 grandchildren; a brother, John Koppin of Newton; and two sisters, Mrs. John (Selma) Petermeier of Newton and Mrs. Arlie (Meta) Antle of Kellogg.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Mr. Koppin, a retired farmer, was a member of the First Assembly of God Church.
The son of August and Hannah Klopping Koppin* he was born Mar. 17, 1901 at Kellogg and attended Kellogg schools.
He was married to Lily Lindsey May 27, 1934
