COLFAX - Minta Wind Waller Robson, 98, of Des Moines, a longtime resident of the Colfax Community, died Friday, Oct. 5, at Iowa Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines.

Graveside services will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday at Waveland Cemetery in Prairie City.

The Rev. John Mc Kinstry, pastor of the Howard Street Christian Church in Colfax, and the Rev. Don Gilbert of Des Moines will conduct services.

Friends may call Tuesday afternoon at Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Colfax. Family visitation will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Memorials to the Howard Street Christian Church or the Deborah Heights Wesleyan United Church in Des Moines may be left at the funeral home.

Survivors are two sons, Wilbur of Colfax and Robert of Colfax; two daughters, Erma Jean Miller of Des Moines and Thelma Spencer of Newton; 10 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a daughter, Mildred, three brothers and three sisters.

The daughter of James and Mattie Hood Waller, she was born August 26, 1892 in Glasgow, Ky., and moved to Colfax as a child.

She was married to Frank Robson May 20, 1913.

She moved to Des Moines to reside with her daughter eight years ago. ~ The Newton (IA) Daily News, October 1990
