COLFAX - Lewis Myers, 70, a longtime resident of Colfax, died this morning, Nov. 16, at the Mercy Hospital Medical Center in Des Moines.
Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Colfax is handling arrangemetns which have not been completed.

Lewis J. MyersCOLFAX - Funeral services for Louis J. Myers, 75, a longtime resident of the Colfax community, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. 19, at the Immaculate Conception Catholic church in Colfax.
The Reverend Edward Susic, pastor of the church, will conduct services. Burial will be in Mc Keever Cemetery, north of Colfax.
Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Thursday at Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Colfax.
Friends may call after noon Thursday at the funeral home and visitation with the family will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Survivors are his wife, Blanche; two sons and daughters-in-law, Charlie and Carol and John and Pat, all of Mingo; two daughters in sons-in-law, Patricia and Ronald Schneider of Lacona and Mary Ann Mike Holmes at Prairie City; and 11 grandchildren.
Also surviving are three sisters, Mary Myers and Catherine Myers, both of Des Moines, and Dorothy (Mrs. La Vere) Seibert of Dallas Center.
He was preceded in death by her (typed as written, but probably should be his since they are not listed as survivors) parents and a sister, Josephine.
Mr. Myers was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.

Services Held Nov. 19, For Lewis J. MyersFuneral services for Lewis J. Myers, 76 (typed as written in obit, age differs between obits), a longtime resident of the Colfax community, were held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. 19, at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Colfax.
The Rev. Edward Susic, pastor of the church, conducted services. Burial was in McKeever Cemetery, north of Colfax.
The organist was Eleanor Howell, and the soloist was JoAnn Orthel.
Casket bearers were Steve Myers, Michael Holmes, Richard Schneider, Charlie Seibert, Robert Cory and Mike Cory.
In charge of flowers were Dorothy Riley and Virginia Hill.
