COLFAX - Graveside services for Florence Scott Kendall, 80, a longtime resident of the Colfax area, will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 17, at the Colfax Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Colfax after 4 p.m. today.

Family visitation will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mrs. Kendall died Tuesday at Des Moines General Hospital.

Survivors are two sons, Donald of Eldora and Jim of Colfax; two daughters, Margie (Mrs. Keith) McCuen of Colfax and Shelby Walters of Newton; 17 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.

Also surviving are her brother, Clarence Scott of Spirit Lake and a sister, Charlotte Hageman of Thornton, Colo.

Mrs. Kendall was preceded in death by her parents, husband and three children, Lowell, Betty and Beryl.

The daughter of William and Della Phillips Scott, she was born August 6, 1910 in Graettinger.

She was married to Wilbur Kendall February 8, 1932. ~ The Newton (IA) Daily News, November 1991
