Clinton J. Rinehart

MONROE - Funeral services for Clinton J. Rinehart, 63, a resident of Monroe since 1962, were held today, Sept. 30, at the Monroe Presbyterian Church.

Dr. Thomas Bass, pastor of the church, conducted services. Burial was in Silent City Cemetery in Monroe.

Memorials to the Monroe Presbyterian Church or the American Heart Association may be left at Walters-Colburn Funeral Home in Monroe.

Mr. Rinehart died Friday at the Mercy Hospital Medical Center in Des Moines.

Survivors are his wife, Arlene; three sons, Tim and Monte, both of Monroe, and Gary of Reasnor; five grandchildren; two step grandchildren; and a sister, Anna (Mrs. Gerald) Arment of Grinnell.

Mr. Rinehart was a member of the Monroe Presbyterian Church and the Monroe Square Dance Club.

He enlisted in the Navy immediately following his graduation from Newton Community High School in 1946.

He retired in 1984 from the Firestone Tire and Rubber Co. in Des Moines.

The son of Marion and Nancy Marie Carter Rinehart, he was born February 13, 1928 in Newton.

He was married to Arlene Eilert April 30, 1949 in Newton.

He also resided in Red Rock. ~ The Newton (IA) Daily News, 1991
