ABE CAMP DIED MONDAY IN IOWA CITY

Abraham Jackson Camp, 70, Died Monday, December 13 at 9 P.M. in the University Hospital at Iowa City. He had entered the hospital the Thursday previous, and had submitted to surgery. Death was caused from broncho-pneumonia and other complications.

Abraham Camp was the son of Matthew and Rebecca Simons Camp and was born at White Rock, Kansas, January 6, 1884. He was united in marriage to Sarah Hughes November 25, 1925. He was a farmer and resided on a farm north of Colfax for many years. The past 30 years he has resided in Colfax and vicinity.

He is survived by his widow and one son Donald Camp, 711 East 20th St S., Newton, one brother Clint Camp of Pulaski, Ia., and one sister Margaret Hrisz of Colby, Kan. Three grandchildren also mourn his passing. Three children preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be held this (Thursday) afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Methodist Church with Rev. W. L. Hawn officiating.

Music will be provided by Mrs. LaVerne Woods and Miss Mabel Kaldenberg. Mrs. Frank W. Evans and Mrs. Frank Morgan will have charge of the flowers.

Pallbearers will be Frank W. Evans, Frank Morgan, Leonard Cahill, Richard Evans, Harry Morgan and Carroll White.

Friends and neighbors in the community were sorry to learn of the death of Abe Camp who has resided in the Plumber Grove area for many years. Funeral services will be this afternoon (Thursday) at 2 o'clock at the Methodist Church in Colfax.

Obituary - Abram Jackson Camp
Final rites for Abram Jackson Camp, 70, were held Thursday from the Methodist Church with the Rev. W. L. Hawn officiating.

Abraham Camp was the son of Matthew and Rebecca Simons Camp and was born at White Rock, Kansas January 6, 1884 and passed away at the University Hospital in Iowa City, December 13, 1954.

Mr. Was a long time resident of this community, living north of Colfax on a farm. Because of poor health he had retired from active farming but continued to reside on the farm.

He was united in marriage to Sarah Hughes, Nov. 25, 1925. To this union four children were born. Three children preceded him in death. One son Donald Camp resides at Newton. Besides his wife and one son he is survived by a brother Clint Camp of Pulaski, Ia. and one sister, Margaret Hrisz, of Colby, Kansas; three grandchildren, Bonnie Kay, Ronald Wayne and Abe LaVerne Camp of Newton. He was preceded in death by his parents besides the three children.

Music was furnished by Mrs. LaVerne Woods, Mrs. Mabel Kaldenberg with Mrs. Frank B. Evans, organist.

Pall bearers were Frank W. Evans, Frank Morgan, Leonard Cahill, Richard Evans, Harry Morgan and Carroll White.
