Royal "Sparky" Madison, 71, died

The Colfax class of 1940 regrets the loss of another classmate. In the out-of-state deaths, it was noted that Royal "Sparky" Madison, age 71, died on May 25 in Chicago with services held at Carter Funeral Home. Sparky was in the service following graduation and was a Chicago resident after being discharged. It is believed he worked for the city of Chicago. Sparky's death is the 15th from the 1940 class. ~ Newspaper unknown, possibley the Colfax clipper or The Newton (IA) Daily News May, 1993
