Monday, October 8, 1990Marian Johnson - Grinnell - Marian A. Foster Johnson, 67, of Grinnell, a former resident of Newton, died Friday, Oct. 5, at St. Joseph Hospital in Centerville.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Smith Funeral Home in Grinnell. Burial will be in Hazelwood Cemetery in Grinnell.
Visitation with the family will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorials to the Poweshiek County Home Help Agency will be accepted.
Survivors are five daughters, Connie Spicer of Ocala, Fla., Cheryle Campbell of Numa, Cathie Rose of Grinnell, Charlotte Shilling of Runnells and Carolyn Tish of Pierce City, Mo.; 17 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a brother, LeRoy Foster of Kellogg; and a sister, Nancy Foster of Rosemeade, Calif.
Also preceding are her husband and four sisters.
Mrs. Johnson had been a seamstress for DeLong Sportswear Co.
The daughter of LeRoy and Bessie Thompson Foster, she was born Oct. 2, 1923 in Elkton, Minn., and was educated in Newburg schools.
She was married to Virgil L. Johnson April 12, 1947 in Grinnell.
