BAXTER - Aleta Herzog, 91, of Baxter died Sunday, June 12, at the Colonial Manor in Baxter.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Bethany United Church of Christ, east of Baxter, and burial will be in Bethany Cemetery.

Friends may call Tuesday until 9 p.m. at Boyd-Davis Funeral Home in Baxter. ~ The Newton (IA) Daily News, June 1994

Aleta L. Herzog

BAXTER - Aleta L. Kanne Herzog, 91, 407 SE Ave., Baxter, died Sunday, June 12 at the Colonial Manor Care Center in Baxter.

Funeral services were held today at the Bethany United Church of Christ east of Baxter.

The Reverend Charles Holmgren, pastor of the church conducted services.

Burial was in Bethany Cemetery.

A Memorial fund in her name has been established.

Boyd-Davis Funeral Home in Baxter was in charge of arrangements.

She is survived by a stepson, Ivan Herzog, of Baxter, three great step-grandchildren and two step great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, William A., and a brother.

Mrs. Herzog, who taught country school near Baxter, was a member of the Bethany United Church of Christ and the Women's Fellowship.

The daughter of Levi and Meta Harre Kanne, she was born September 2, 1902 in Baxter.

She was married to William A. Herzog July 31, 1929 in Ledyard. ~ The Newton (IA) Daily News, June 1994
