COLFAX - Bertha Anna Stockman Price, 77, of Colfax, died Saturday, April 13, at her home.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Howard Street Christian Church.

The Rev. John Mc Kinstry, pastor of the church, assisted by the Rev. David Mc Neely, of the Colfax Assembly of God, will conduct services. Burial will be in Colfax Cemetery.

Survivors are two sons, Ronald Wayne of Denver, Colo., and Larry Steven of Colfax; a daughter, Dixie Ann Watson of Colfax; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren; a sister, Deanna Shuey of Fort Supply, Okla., and a brother, Warren Stockman of Kirwan, Kansas.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Vern.

Mrs. Price, a member of the Howard Street Christian Church, had been a cook in Colfax restaurants and nursing homes.

The daughter of William and Mary Louisa Jensen Stockman, she was born February 28, 1914 in Kirwan, Kansas.

She was married to Vern Elder Price July 1, 1935 in Stockton, Kan.

A resident of Colfax since 1950 she also had resided in Kansas and California. ~ The Newton (IA) Daily News April, 1991
