Jahiel Devol [sic-De Vol]

Jahiel A. "Hap" Devol, 71, of 916 30th St., Bettendorf, died Saturday at St. Luke's Hospital after an extended illiness.

Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at the McGinnis Chapel, Bettendorf. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park.

Visitation will be after 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Devol had been employed at the Air Reduction plant in Bettendorf until retireing.

He was born in Omaha, Nebraska. He married Bertha A. Miller in 1926 in Newton, Iowa.

Among the survivors are his wife, daughters; Mrs. Richard (Margaret) Young, Davenport, Mrs. James (Evelyn) Carver, Princeton, Iowa and Mrs. Frank (Barbara) Lang, Bettendorf, 26 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, sisters; Grace Coleman, Tonganoxic, --------(unreadable), ________ ______ (unreadable), a brother, David, Lenexa, Kansas.
