Stanley D. Miller, son of Nelson and Margaret Dixon Miller, was born at Colfax, Iowa on February 18, 1914 and entered into rest at the Mercy Hospital in Des Moines on February 24, 1985 at the age of 71 years. He was united in marriage to Ruth Meyers on August 23, 1937 at Newton. Mr. Miller was an employee at the Maytag Co., retireing in 1973 after 31 years of service. He was a member of the United Auto Workers.

Surviving are his wife Ruth, four daughters; Mrs. Russell (Jane Ann) Dearden, Des Moines; Marilyn Jean Miller at home; Mrs. Bill (Sandra) Allfree, Colfax and Rhonda Sue at home; 7 grandchildren, a brother, Tom of Colfax and 3 sisters, Bessie Schweinebart, Baxter; Annie Bell, Chariton and Bertha De Vol of Davenport. He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 sisters and an infant daughter, Ruth Jane.
