GARNETH HILL PIERSON

PRAIRIE CITY, IA. Garneth Hill Pierson, 90, of Prairie City died of a heart attack Monday at Des Moines General Hospital. Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Williams Funeral Home in Knoxville. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Marion County.

Mrs. Pierson, a retired teacher, was born in Mahaska County and lived in the Marion County area and in California most of her life, returning recently to reside in Clearview Manor.

She is survived by a son, James Hill of Knoxville; two daughters, Dorothy Thompson of Des Moines and Margery Anderson of Camp Hill, Pa.; a brother, Howard Ream of Columbus, Ohio; 15 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Friends may call after 10 a.m today at the funeral home, where the family will be present from 7 to 8 p.m.
