Fred k. Schlosser

COLFAX - Fred Kenneth Sclosser, 79, a lifelong resident of Colfax, died Thursday, Feb. 1, at Des Moines General Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Moday at Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Colfax. Burial will be in Colfax Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 11 a.m. Sunday. Visitation with the family will be held from 3 to 4 p.m. Sunday.

Survivors are his wife, Aleen; a son, Wayne, of Colfax; a daughter, Karen (Mrs. Dennis) Rawlins of Colfax; and four grandchildren.

He was preced in death by his parents, two brothers, Ted and George, and two sisters, Audrey Schmitt and Ruth Clippinger.

Mr. Schlosser was a retired farmer.

The son of Edward and Jessie Burnett Schlosser, he was born May 26, 1910 in Colfax and was a 1929 graduate of Colfax Community High School

He was married to Aleen Wilson Feb. 7, 1939 in the Little Brown Church near Nashua.
