Edward Schlosser, Colfax Resident, Dies Monday

COLFAX - Edward "Ted" Schlosser, 81, a lifelong resident of the Colfax community, died Monday at the Story County Hospital in Nevada.

Private family services will be held Wednesday.

The Rev. Robert Jones, pastor of the Colfax Christian Church, will conduct services. Burial will be in the Waveland Cemetery in Prairie city.

Friends may call at the Walters-Coburn funeral home in Colfax from 2 to 9 p.m. today.

Survivors are his wife, Zella; a brother, Fred of Colfax; and two sisters, Mrs. Ruth Clippinger of Colfax and Mrs. Audrey Schmitt of Mitchellville.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.

The son of Edward and Jesse Burnett Schlosser, he was born May 9, 1897 in Colfax.

He was married to Zella Briles October 22, 1918 at Des Moines.
