Clara Metz, daughter of Jacob and Anna Metz was born in Catawissa, Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania on March 9, 1849 and died on May 26, 1923.

Married Charles Rinehart on December 10, 1868 at Marysville, Iowa.

Six children - Mrs. Harry Hunt of Niantic, Connecticut; Mrs. R. B. Hendershot of Monroe, Iowa; Mrs. J. N. Dunlap of Mt. Vernon, New York; Mrs. J. R. Buckley of Prairie City; Mrs. W. P. Wiggins of Chicago, Illinois and Ed Rinehart of Denver, Colorado.
