Died, last Monday, July 27, 1896. Mrs. Allen Jeffries aged 22 years, 5 months, and 22 days.

Mrs. Jeffries has been a sufferer for three years during which time she has been very patient, but at last death came and relieved her from all pain. The funeral took place last Wednesday at Union Chapel and was conducted by Rev. T. A. Lampman, of Green Castle. After the services the remains were laid to rest beside a daughter who had passed on before and buried in Union Chapel cemetery. A large concourse of friends and neighbors were present to pay the last respects to the departed one. We as a friend and neighbor extend to the bereaved family our sincere sympathy in this their great bereavement.

Colfax Clipper -- Rebecco [Rebecca], wife of Allen Jeffries, who died last Monday at her home near Ira, was well known and respected in Colfax, where the family lived over five years. At the time of her death she was aged 52 years, 5 months, and 22 days. She has been a constant sufferer for three years past from cancer, and death was a grateful relief to her.
