Little Myrtle, the five year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Tom Pettit, who live about seven miles northwest of Newton, died of diphtheria last Thursday morning. The precious form was laid away in the Catholic cemetery on the afternoon of the same day. It was hard to give her up, but Heaven is now her home, and no one could really wish to have her return.
