A Good Woman Dead

Somehow we missed the mention of the death of Mrs. Jane Bevans, who died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Levi Roberts, Oct. 13, 1896, in the 88th year of her age. She was born in Pennsylvania, and was married to Stacey E. Bevans, in 1833, who preceded her to the Spirit Land nearly a half century ago, leaving her a family of seven childen, all of whom except one, survive her. She had been a minister in the society of Friends since 1847. In all that go to make a full rounded life of usefulness, of good works, of noble womanhood, and faithful brotherhood, Mrs. Bevans was a shining example, and leaves a name and character for her children, of which they may be proud.
