OBITUARY - Helen Debrah Mead was born in Martinsburg, West Va., Oct. 25th 1854, departed this life May 23rd, 1894, aged 39 years, 6 months and 29 days. She was united in marriage to Henry Bisom, Feb. 23rd, 1875, at Martinsburg, West Va.; came to Jasper County, Iowa, in 1879, where she remained up to the time of her death, which was caused by congestion of the brain and spinal column. She lingered two weeks in death's struggles, and on the morning of May 23d, passed away quietly to the other land.

The funeral services were conducted by Rev. C. C. Harrah, at the Wittemberg Church, and the remains were taken to the Newton Cemetery for burial.

Nine children are living to mourn the loss of a dear mother. May her sorrows and troubles be over and may she be at rest.
