Rites Tomorrow in Newton for Louis F. Hummel
Funeral services for Louis F. Hummel, 57, Newton man who died yesterday afternood at Veterans Hospital in Des Moines, will be held tomorrow afternoon at two o’clock at Johnson-Murdoch Funeral Home.

Mr. Hummel was born Dec 29, 1894, to John and Anna Hummel near Monroe. He lived in Jasper County all his life and was a retired farmer. He was in the Army nearly two years during World War I and on Dec 24, 1919 married to Pearl Longren.

Survivors are his widow; his mother, both of Newton; two daughters, Mrs. Sam (Lois) Warrick of Altoona and Mrs. Gale (Dorothy) Morelock of Newton; three grandchildren, three brothers, Thomas and Orlin of Newton, and Edwin of Colfax; and six sisters, Mrs. James Dimon, Mrs. Mary Rorabaugh, Mrs. Rose Snook, Mrs. Kathryn Hoffert, all of Newton, Mrs Leona Engle of Monroe, and Mrs. Agnes Muck of Colfax.

Officating at the services tomorrow will be Rev. Warren Steward of the First Federated Church of Des Moines. Burial will be in Palo Alto Cemetery
