Laguna Hills, Calif. - Edna Helen Breckenridge,. 91, of Laguna Hills, Calif. formerly of Newton died Thursday, May 15, at her home.

The daughter of Enoch and Mary Benjamin Longren, she was born March 12, 1906, in Colfax. She was a graduate of Newton High School.

She married Frank Breckenridge July 2, 1925, in Newton.

A longtime resident of Newton, she also lived in Whittier, Calif. and Silver Spring, Md. before moving back to Newton. She resided in Palm Springs and Laguna Hills for the past 10 years.

Mrs. Breckenridge was a homemaker and a hospital and church volunteer. She was a member of the Newton Chapter No. 100 Order of the Eastern Star; Ladies Auxiliary of Eisenhower Hospital in Rancho Mirage, Calif.; Cheverton Home Builders Class; First Christian Church in Whittier, Calif.; the Sunday School Class of First Christian Church in Newton.

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Gail B. and Norma Breckenridge of Louisville, Kentucky; Frank Lee and Lynn Breckenridge of Solvang, Calif.; a daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Warren LaHeist of Silver Spring, MD; seven grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; three brothers; and two sisters.
