Woman, 79, Succumbs

LAUREL, IA - Mrs. Caroline Chollett, 79, died at the Deaconess hospital in Marshalltown at 5:15 p.m. Monday. She had been a patient there two days after submitting to a major operation.

Prayer services will be held at the Morgan funeral home Thursday at 1:30 p.m. with funeral services following at the Zoar Reformed church with interment in the cemetery there.

Caroline Koppin was born in Germany August 30, 1859 and came to the United States in 1885. In that same year she was united in marriage to Carl Chollett on August 30 at Elroy, Ill. Mr. Chollett died in 1892. For the past 20 years Mrs. Chollett has made her home with a grand daughter, Mrs. Fred Schnathorst at Laurel.

Surviving relatives are nine grand children and six great grand children, two brothers and two sisters, Will Koppin of St. Paul, Minn., Charles Koppin of Newton, Mrs. Will Ebert of Langdon, N.D., and Mrs. Emilie Koppin of Lena, Ill. An only daughter, Mrs. Emil Lenz, died in 1923
