SUDDEN DEATH. – Mr. Samuel Marks died at his home in Buena Vista Township, about three miles south of Kellogg, on Tuesday morning. He was in his usual health, had been in Kellogg on Monday afternoon, and was in excellent spirits. He was a jovial, merry disposition, and a great favorite with all who knew him. He appeared entirely well when he went to bed, and was dead at three o’clock in the morning. He has been a member of the Republican Central Committee and was one of the township trustees at the time of his death. He was a man who was greatly honored and respected. He leaves a wife and four daughters, and hosts of friends and acquaintances to mourn his sudden departure. ~ The Newton Journal, Wednesday, Dec. 6, 1893
