C. A. Wiedeman Dies; Services Monday at 1:30

Funeral services are scheduled Monday afternoon for Charles A. Wiedeman, 67 of 809 1st St. N., who died Friday evening at the Veterans Hospital in Des Moines.

Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Toland Funeral Home with Rev. L. H. Athey, retired Methodist minister, in charge. Burial will be in Newton Memorial Park.

Mr. Wiedeman is survived by his wife, Esther, at home; two brothers, Elmer Wiedeman, Athol, South Dakota and Ivan Wiedeman, Rapid City, South Dakota and several nieces and nephews.

He was born Feb. 9, 1898 at Killduff, the son of Philip and Edna Romans Wiedeman. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Earl.

He was married to Esther Koppin in September of 1941 at Columbia, Missouri. He was employed as a storekeeper at Iowa Southern Utilities in Newton for several years.

He attended Jasper County and South Dakota schools and had been a resident of Jasper County since 1948. He was a member of the American Legion.
