DIED – At the home of her daughter, Mrs. Robert McKinley, in Newton, Iowa, on Sabbath afternoon, Nov. 12th, 1893, Mrs. Mary Williamson, in her 86th year.

Mary Brooke was born near Jamestown, Pa., July 6th, 1808. In 1834 she was married to Mr. Robert Williamson, with whom she lived till his death in 1872, and to whom she bore three children, two sons and a daughter.

The first born died in infancy, the second, Perry Williamson, lives in Oregon, while her daughter, Mrs. Robt. McKinley, lives in Newton.

In 1866 they moved to Salem, Wisconsin, where Mr. Williamson died and where his dust still sleeps.

After the death of her husband Mrs. Williamson spent six years in Pennsylvania, coming to Newton in 1878, where she has lived ever since, loved and respected by all who knew her.

When but sixteen she united with the Seceded (now U. P.) church in which faith she lived and died. The funeral services were conducted at the home by Rev. D. Brown, and the body laid to rest in our beautiful city of the dead.
