Montezuma — Ona B. Walraven, 92, of Montezuma died Friday, July 28, 2006, at the Montezuma Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Montezuma.

A funeral service was today at the Watts Funeral Home in Montezuma. Burial was at Newton Memorial Park Cemetery in Newton.

Memorial contributions may be given to Grinnell Hospice.

The daughter of John Carl Baker and Agnes Fay Hoffman, she was born July 27, 1914, in Percy.

On Dec. 3, 1981, she married Guy Walraven in Reno, Nev.

She was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxilliary in Malcom, the Internal Order of the Eagles in Grinnell, Iowa, the Lady Elks in Grinnell, the Women of the Moose in Newton and the Pythian Sisters in Montezuma.

She is survived by several nieces, neighbors and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two brothers, Cecil Rosetta and John William; and three sisters, Hazel Pearl, Ruby Irene and Ida Opal.
