PANGUITCH, Utah -- Ruth Maxine Schermerhorn, 80, of Panguitch, Utah, died Monday, April 24, 2006, in Panguitch.

Graveside services will be Monday at 1 p.m. in Newton Union Cemetery. Friends may call Monday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Wallace Family Funeral Home.

The daughter of Glenn L. and Faye M. (Stout) Wright, she was born Oct. 23, 1925, in Newton. On Nov. 16, 1943, she married Robert A. Schermerhorn in Huntington Park, Calif.

She is survived by her husband; a son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Lynn Schermerhorn of Huntington Beach, Calif.; three daughters and sons-in-law, Myra Louise and Ralph Brink of Santa Ana, Calif., Rebecca and Kenneth Kniesley of Middlebury, Ind., and Tina and Rick Miner of Panguitch, Utah; 13 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and a sister, Shirley and Vern Roberts of Anaheim, Calif.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two grandchildren.
