BERTHOUD, Colo. -- Frances E. "Fran" Roush, 85, of Berthoud, Colo., formerly of Newton, died Tuesday, May 23, 2006, in Berthoud, Colo.

A graveside service will be Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at Newton Union Cemetery. No visitation is scheduled.

Memorials will be accepted to American Diabetes Association or the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research and may be left at the funeral home. Wallace Family Funeral Home in Newton is handling arrangements.

The daughter of Francis and Mary Jane (Clark), she was born July 10, 1920, in Olmitz. She lived in Newton most of her life. On July 5, 1940, she married Harley LaVerne Roush in Lancaster, Mo. She was a homemaker and also worked for Vernon Company. She was a member and past matron of Chapter 100 of Order of Eastern Star.

She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Dave and Jean Roush of Berthoud; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a son, Larry D. Roush.
