DES MOINES -- Judy Metz, 43 of Des Moines, formerly of Solon, died Saturday, May 20, 2006, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.

A funeral service will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Brosh Chapel in Cedar Rapids with the Rev. Dave VanVark officiating. Burial will be at Oakland Cemetery in Solon.

Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. Wednesday at Brosh Chapel in Cedar Rapids. Memorials may be directed to her husband, Marty Metz at 1226 East 21st Street in Des Moines 50317.

The daughter of Glen B. and Nancy Miller, she was born May 23, 1962. On Dec. 19, 2003, she married Marty Metz in Newton.

Survivors include her husband; father; a daughter, Sarah Carlson; a son, Joseph Carlson; brother, Dennis; four sisters, Jackie, Carolyn, Cheryl and Diane; and one grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her mother; a son, Christopher; a daughter, Ashley; one nephew; and her mother-in-law and father-in-law.
