COLFAX -- Funeral services for Charles Duane Ferguson, 28, of rural Colfax, a lifelong resident of the Colfax-Mingo community, were held this morning, Nov. 25, at the Howard Street Christian Church in Colfax.

The Rev. John Mc Kinstry, pastor of the church, conducted services. Burial was in Mc Keever Cemetery, north of Colfax.

Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Colfax handled arrangements.

He died Friday at the Skiff Medical Center in Newton.

Survivors are his parents, Richard and Bonnie Eatwell Ferguson; a brother, Michael of Altoona; a sister, Debra Wing of Runnells; a step-grandmother, Margaret Ferguson of Waterloo; and a special friend, Teresa De Cook.

Mr. Ferguson was a farmer.

The son of Richard and Bonnie Eatwell Ferguson, he was born Aug. 30, 1963 in Des Moines and was a 1982 graduate of Colfax Community High School.
