Funeral services for Audrey M. Henning Fullmer, 76, of 2106 1st Ave. W., a lifelong resident of Newton, will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 3, at Wallace-Pence Funeral Home.

The Rev. William Calhoun, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church, will conduct services. Burial will be in the Veterans Section of Newton Union Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. today. Visitation with the family will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Memorials to the Leukemia Foundation may be left at the funeral home.

She died Monday at Skiff Medical “Center of acute lymphoma.

Survivors are her husband, Gerold B. “Fuzzy,” a daughter, Jayne A Torrez of Fairfax, Va.; three grandchildren; and two sisters, Maxine Kelly of Des Moines and Freda Thorlaksson of Chico, Calif.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Mrs. Fullmer and her husband owned and operated Fuzzy’s Service Station in west Newton prior to retiring in 1975.

She was a member of the First Lutheran Church and Newton Ikettes.

The daughter of August F. and Pansy Brooks Henning, she was born Jan. 28, 1914 in Newton and was a 1931 graduate of Newton Community High School.

She was married to Garold B. Fullmer Aug. 17, 1932 in Missouri.
