Fredrick Fricke

BAXTER -- Fredrick Fricke, 76, of Baxter, died Friday, July 27, at Mercy Hospital Medical Center in Des Moines of heart failure.

Funeral services were held today at 2 p.m. at St. Johns Lutheran Church at State Center. Burial was at Restland Cemetery at Baxter.

Survivors are his wife, Nadine, two sons, Fredrick Fricke of Mitchellville and Dale Fricke of Collins; two daughters, Shirley Norton of Maxwell and Kathrine Potter of West Des Moines; mine grandchildren; one brother, Elmer Fricke of Marshalltown; four sisters, Inez Badger, Ida Frohwein, Marie Eggers and Laura Nehring, all of State Center.

The son of Fredrick Fricke and Elizabeth Wolken, he was born March 29, 1914 at State Center. He married Nadine Warner, May 22, 1940 at State Center. He was engaged in farming near Baxter before retiring in 1976. He was a member of St. Johns Lutheran Church in State Center.

He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, three sisters and one grandchild.

Memorials may be made to the Heart Fund. Boyd-Davis Funeral Home in Baxter was in charge of the arrangements.

Fredrick Fricke, 76, of Baxter died Friday, July 27, at Mercy Hospital Medical Center in Des Moines of heart failure.

Funeral services were held Monday, July 30, at 2 p.m., at St. John’s Lutheran Church in State Center. Burial was at Restland Cemetery in Baxter.

The Rev. Marvin Flanscha conducted services. The organist was Edith Armbrecht.

Pallbearers were Robert (Bud) Allan, Robert Kreager, Jim Kreager, Jerome Freese, Randy Freese, and Ed Jontz.
