Martha E. Enderson

Martha E. Enderson, 85, a resident of Nelson Manor for the past five years, died Sunday, Feb. 4, at the Manor.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Reese Chapel.

The Rev. H. Eugene Cedarholm, pastor of the First Lutheran Church, will conduct services. Burial will be in Newton Union Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 6 p.m. today.

Memorials to the organization of the donor’s choice will be accepted.

Survivors are a son, John of Colfax; a daughter, Delone Snook of Newton; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Laura Bakken of Albert Lea, Minn.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband in 1977, five sisters and four brothers.

Mrs. Enderson, a member of the First Lutheran Church, had been employed at the Vernon Co. from 1952 until retiring in 1964.

The daughter of Lars and Helena Oakland, she was born Aug. 14, 1904 in Albert Lea, Minn.

She was married to John B. Enderson Nov. 5, 1924 in Austin, Minn.

Mrs. Enderson moved to Newton from Albert Lea in 1951.
