Ruth E. Duminy

Ruth E. Largent Duminy, 91, of Suncrest Village, Apt. 13D, a lifelong resident of Newton, died Sunday, May 13, at Skiff Medical Center.

Her body has been donated to the University Hospitals in Iowa City.

No services are planned. Her cremated remains will be buried at a later date at Newton Union Cemetery.

Reese Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

Survivors are a son, Darwin of Polk City; a daughter, Armadine Vincent of Tacoma, Wash.; eight grandsons; five granddaughters; eight great-grandchildren; and a brother, Ralph Largent of Rock Island, Ill.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband in 1959, three grandsons, a sister and two brothers.

Mrs. Duminy, an employee of the Parsons Co. during World War II, was a member of the First Lutheran Church and had done volunteer work for many years at the Newton Community Schools.

The daughter of Sherman and Elizabeth Largent, she was born Oct. 12, 1898 in Newton, attended Newton schools and was graduated from Newton Community High School.

She was married to Anatole E. Duminy Sept. 27, 1930 in Centerville, Mo.
