RUNNELLS -- Funeral services for Fern Templeton Colyn, 83, of Rt. 1, Runnells, a lifelong resident of the Prairie City and Runnells communities, will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 15, at Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Prairie City.

Elder Arthur Nichols of Knoxville, of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, will conduct services.

Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, south of Prairie City.

She died Tuesday at Clearview Manor in Prairie City.

Survivors are a son, Hubert of Runnells; two daughters, Ila Miller of Monroe and Irene (Mrs. Roy) Vaughn of Runnells; 15 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, James, a sister and a great-grandson.

Mrs. Colyn was a member of the Morgan Valley Christian Church, south of Prairie City.

The daughter of John and Bessie Cowman Templeton, she was born Jan. 10, 1908 in Dunreath.

She was married to James Colyn May 2, 1925 in Princeton, Mo.
