Funeral services for Joe Albert Chamberlain, 44, of 415 N. 8th Ave. E., a resident of Newton since 1975, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 5, at the Church of the Nazarene.

The Rev. Bill Van Paten, pastor of the church, will conduct services. Burial will be in Newton Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation with the family will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. today at Wallace-Pence Funeral Home.

Memorials in his name may be left at the funeral home.

He died Sunday morning at his home.

Survivors are his wife, Cheryl; his father, George of Chariton; a brother, Ronald of Chariton; and two sisters, Cara Michele (Mrs. Charles) Hibler of Kansas City, Mo., and Margaret Chamberlain of Chariton.

He was preceded in death by his mother and sister, Lorna Chamberlain.

Mr. Chamberlain, a member of the Church of the Nazarene and United Auto Workers, Local 997, was employed at the Maytag Co. for 19 years. He worked in the sheet metal department the greater part of the time.

The son of George and Betty Nadine Jesup Chamberlain, he was born July 25, 1946 in Lucas County near Chariton and was a 1964 graduate of Chariton Community High School.

He was married to Cheryl Anne Warden Feb. 17, 1979 in Newton.
