Mr. Thomas Hawkins, a former resident of this place, died on last Saturday at the home of his daughter in Ottumwa. His remains will be brought to Monroe to-day for burial and be taken in charge of the Odd Fellows. ~ The Newton (Iowa) Journal. Wednesday, March 8, 1893.
