Died, March 2nd, 1893, at her home in Prairie City, Mrs. Mason Churchill aged 50 years. She was a daughter of Mr. Cyrus Robinson, formerly of this place, now deceased. The husband and two daughters are left to mourn her death. The funeral services were held Sunday morning at the Congregational Church, of which Mrs. Churchill was an active member and the remains, accompanied by a large concourse of relatives and friends were brought on a special train to Monroe for burial. ~ The Newton (Iowa) Journal, Wednesday, March 8, 1893.

Prairie City (IA) News, 1893Mrs. Mason Churchill died March 2, 1893, at her home in Prairie City, at the age of 49 years. She was born in Maine on November 20, 1843 and moved to the state of Wisconsin in early childhood.
She united with the Baptist church at Montacello, Wisconsin, at the age of fifteen.
She married Mason Churchill at the age of nineteen and moved to Iowa. They settled on Capital Prairie, east of Prairie City.
They had two sons and two daughters. The daughters survive. They later moved to Prairie City.
She united with the Congregational church, where the funeral service was held.
Burial at Monroe.
