DIED. - At his home in Newton, Sunday morning, March 5, 1893, Mr. John Hanes. He was 78 years of age and had been feeble for some time. His remains were interred in the Newton cometery on Monday. ~ The Newton (Iowa) Journal, Wednesday, March 8, 1893.
