BOY KILLED AT BAXTER. -- On Saturday evening, Mr. Joe Gilson drove home, after attending the show, and gave his horse to his son, Willie Gilson, to put up. The boy started for the barn, but on the way the horse became frightened and ran. In turning into the barn-yard the horse threw the boy into a pile of harros and two teeth penetrated his skull. All that could be was done to relieve his sufferings but he died before day-light. The boy was known at his home, near Baxter, as being an industrious and good boy, and his death is sadly regretted by many friends. ~ The Newton (Iowa) Journal, Wednesday, February 15, 1893.
