Obituary from unknown newspaper (assume Des Moines, Iowa) since I just have the clipping. (Died 17 Apr 1985):

DESSIE R. JOHNSON

Services for Dessie R. Johnson, 79, of 2923 Garfield Ave., who died of leukemia Wednesday at Luther Park Health Center will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Wesley United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Vandalia Cemetery.

Mrs. Johnson was born in Jasper County and was a resident of Des Moines the past 60 years. She was retired from the Iowa Department of Social Services.

Survivors include a son, Thomas M. of Battle Creek, Mich.; a brother, William Rose of Johnston; a sister, Vera Routhe of Des Moines; and four grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to Wesley United Methodist Church, where she was a member.

Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. today at Caldwell-Brien-Robbins Funeral Home.
